For each tool, I came up with the idea, and followed through to release.
Lockdown has been an industry standard motion tracker since 2018, Ceated within my own company (Vranos LLC).
While much of Lockdown's tracking is fully automated with Ai and other techniques, Lockdown is loved because it is a full fledged mesh animation tool with manual controls.
Our customers love that their work is never "trapped in a black box". Lockdown allows precise intervention and correction with an inuitive control set.
This project was an exercise in simplicity for me, an attempt to make the difficult task of color matching easy enough anyone can do it.
The concept and color manipulation algorithms were my own invention, for which I filed and was awarded a Utility Patent years ago.
Back in 2011, I was testing many keying products and noticed on one specific greenscreen shot, one keyer would excel at the top of the frame, and another would excel at the bottom. I asked myself, why can't I get both in one?
I reverse engineered all the main tools in the industry, and on the day I released this tool, I could confidently say my keyer delivered more precise results than any of them.
Ai opens up new possibiliites to raise the bar, and my team will be rebulding Composite Brush form the ground up soon, to keep pace with the industry. aescripts.com/composite-brush
This was a very cool project I did with the help of the Unreal Game Engine team.
We ported the core of my keying software to work live in Unreal.
My team ported Lockdown to Resolve, and I very much enjoyed making this insane promotional video.
I was the product manager for this aescripts product. It is a quick and easy way to send a frame from After Effects to Photoshop without any file management required.
This was my first big plugin for aescripts.com. It created a new form of 3D rendering data pass to allow the user to stick paint to 3D objects in After Effects.
